Day 4: Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Today's hike is shorter, giving your body extra time to acclimatize. Explore the vast Shira Plateau while enjoying magnificent views of Kibo Peak. - Hiking Time: 3–4 hours - Distance: 7 km (4.3 miles) - Altitude: 3,505 m to 3,850 m Accommodation: Shira 2 Camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp – Lava Tower – Moir Hut

Climb gradually toward Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending slightly to Moir Hut. This day follows the "climb high, sleep low" principle to improve your chances of reaching the summit. - Hiking Time: 6–7 hours - Distance: 14 km (8.7 miles) - Altitude: 3,850 m to 4,200 m Accommodation: Moir Hut Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6: Moir Hut – Buffalo Camp

Travel across the quiet northern slopes of Kilimanjaro, where you'll enjoy panoramic views and a peaceful wilderness experience far from the busier routes. - Hiking Time: 5–7 hours - Distance: 12 km (7.5 miles) - Altitude: 4,200 m to 4,020 m Accommodation: Buffalo Camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7: Buffalo Camp – Third Cave Camp

Continue your trek across the northern circuit with breathtaking views of Kenya and the surrounding landscapes. Day 8: Third Cave Camp – School Hut

Today's trek leads to School Hut, your base camp before the summit attempt. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for the early morning climb. - Hiking Time: 4–5 hours - Distance: 5 km (3.1 miles) - Altitude: 3,870 m to 4,800 m Accommodation: School Hut Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 9: School Hut – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp

Around midnight, begin your summit attempt. Reach Stella Point before continuing to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement, then descend to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest. - Hiking Time: 12–15 hours - Distance: 16 km (10 miles) - Altitude: 4,800 m to 5,895 m to 3,100 m Accommodation: Mweka Camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 10: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi

Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificate. Meet your driver for the transfer back to your hotel in Moshi to celebrate your successful Kilimanjaro climb. - Hiking Time: 3–4 hours - Distance: 10 km (6.2 miles) - Altitude: 3,100 m to 1,640 m Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi Meals: Breakfast

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your departure flight. If you wish to continue your adventure, we can also arrange a Tanzania safari, Zanzibar beach holiday, or other excursions

Frequently Asked Questions

No prior mountaineering experience is required. Kilimanjaro is a trek, not a technical climb. We recommend regular fitness training for 3–6 months before your trip.

Our package includes park fees, professional guides, porters, camping equipment, all meals on the mountain, airport transfers, and pre/post-trek accommodation in Moshi.

The best months are January–March and June–October when conditions are dry and visibility is excellent. We operate year-round with adjusted itineraries for the rainy season.
